One day he will drop his rap album I‘m pretty sure
The fact that he‘s still talking that he‘s working on rap songs tells me the fact that he wants to end is career on that note
I feel like if you're mad at this then you see music as more of a product to be consumed than just art for art's sake
Like wtf does any of this s*** mean?
https://twitter.com/complexmusic/status/1724449393800077330Tyler was talking about a project of his (not music just some home interior design thing), the music helped him figure it out
Like wtf does any of this s*** mean?
https://twitter.com/complexmusic/status/1724449393800077330whats there to explain?

yeah
I knew someone would. You my nigga tho.
I read the interview and I read her clarification. She said she thinks OG Boy's a Liar and Internet Baby, a couple songs, are "crap"
It isn't uncommon for artists to s*** on some of their music after the fact or even during its current cycle anyway. I just used her as a recent example.
A lot of artists don't even listen to themselves. When you're listening to your own s*** you're listening with a much harsher ear than anyone else. Flaws that are glaring in your eyes most people probably not even picking up
If you think having a great solo discography is needed to be put in the top 10, i understand. i just know an andre verse does more for me than any other rapper so when im asked for a ranking, i put either him or wayne as #1
If there were two ipods, one with a Wayne discog and one with Outkast music with all of Big Boi sections cut out, what would you choose to listen to forever?

or also like you're suggesting you know how to be the artist better than the artist themselves.
artists are just people living lives man they don't have some grand career path to follow sometimes life takes you somewhere that it wouldn't take anyone else

This makes no sense

you can make so many threads based off this interview alone...it's an amazing dialogue
I'm just being honest. As a rapper, I associated jazz music with old people and elevator music — because it had become that. And here's what's hilarious, too. Every generation will do that. What's funny is at some point in the future, people are going to listen to trap music and be like, Oh, that's nice.
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
RT @edumist
They lowkey starting to do that with the first wave of trap music

i dont know if you’re setting this up to imply wayne’s discog is the obvious answer but this is a hard question for me
Did he say it sounds good?
He was like “it was flute…so like idk it was fine i guess” but i wouldnt really take his opinion on it as a sign of the album quality
But i also think he was not warned that the entire album was flute before it was played

To be fair they're listening with a different ear
This makes no sense
He said 3k verses do more for him than a lot of other rappers which kinda implies he values 3k over Big Boi as well.
Just asking what's more valuable to him
or also like you're suggesting you know how to be the artist better than the artist themselves.

Tht part in the interview resonated with me so much obviously im not as big as andre and probably never will be but im not making the same stuff i used to make years ago, taking interest in completely new things is so great and can change your whole perspective on life
More artists should do it
