I think if anything Andre should just stop repeating himself, he already told people he doesn’t feel inspired to rap so he doesn’t have to keep trying to think of ways to make that clear because I think it just creates more discourse about him rapping which doesn’t seem like we’re gonna get much of

If you really feel cynical, looking back at some of Andre’s efforts to stand out from hip hop culture with his dressing and singing, as legendary and groundbreaking as they were, give off more than a hint of “I’m not a rapper, I’m not like those rappers” vibe that most people would cringe at today

after the years of full cultural separation this starts to creep up a little more in their work and even some of his lyrics, the fact that hes kind of just doing all the weird s*** because he’s insecure about being considered “a rapper” or part of the culture and is trying to distance himself from it

You perceive it as “making excuses” because your a fan and fans think artist are placed on this earth to entertain them but really he just saying how he feel. That is his way of communicating that he’s not inspired to rap and that is probably his reasoning for it in his mind.

It feels like a cop out to me, just say you’re not inspired and stand on it. As an older hip hop fan I cannot stand this “what am I supposed to rap about, a colonoscopy??? 🤓🤡” it’s so corny and reductive. Just say you hate hip hop

Ion know man. I just remember when I got Kamasi Washington The Epic and Heaven and Earth and those boxsets came with more (H&E came with a whole other album as a bonus) and both were around $40-50 when they initially dropped.

It's whatever. 3000 is independent I'm assuming and he's just getting his coin. I'm sure the hand drawn posters will be nice. Maybe the letter he includes will be another recipe for apple pie
