lol @ the difference between how people percieve andre and big boi because andre appears to be more eccentric

they're both great for different reasons and honestly their differences is what made OutKast OutKast. The Pimp and The Poet.

It's disrepsectful when people group other duos together as one entity in Top _ discussions but make it a thing to leave out Big Boi.

Also shout out to Andre for defying all age rules of rap and having niggas still waiting on his debut.

Alternatively his age may also be why he feels weird trying to find ways to rhyme his brags about himself as he gets closer to the other side of 50.

Andre simply sounds like a guy who has outgrown the current construct of rap and entertainment and is struggling to find his footing as an artist who still has a desire to express himself in some way but isn’t quite sure how to do it in a climate that almost forces you to be less of an artist and more of a character of yourself. And as a person who admitted struggles with social anxiety, I could see how that’s hard for him. Hopefully, he finds the inspiration and confidence necessary at some point to share with us.

3k overrated. He knows it too that’s why he won’t drop cause he knows it won’t reach expectations. His 2 tracks he dropped were mid if we being real y’all. I love 3k btw

His level of exigency is beyond rap music. He is beyond rap and found more meaning in other musics. Anyone who is ambitious does this, can always come back to rap but looks for something better. The Love Below was his Songs in The Key of Life.

Andre should do a private installation in New York like Yasiin Bey did and let us hear some of his ideas.
His throwaway trax may be interesting.

This interview had some jewels in it. But the 20 minute segment where these dudes cry about being famous really made me lose respect for them both and honestly made me want a 3 stacks project less. How tone deaf can you be? I get that their success doesn’t solve every problem but the way they were talking about it was pretty pathetic. Regular people can’t even go to college and be sure they can support themselves, spare me the crying that you feel sad about being admired and respected.

    Doesn't he have a kid?

I think he was living with his son in atlanta until he went away for college afterwards he moved to New York to be with his girlfriend, now sure if he's single now though

  • When are y'all gonna get it through your similak filled heads that to some niggas this rap s*** just becomes like a job to them my g.

And as with any other job, some people just ain't worth it.

Also, a lot of yall post 9/11 babies exposure to artists putting all their business out on social media made yall deadass forget that for a LOT of older niggas, they handle s*** in silence.

This nigga lost both his parents. One right after another in a year span.

These new rappers make depressed tweets after a b**** curve them on a DM.

"And all some p**** nigga on the Internet can say is that verse ain't good."

    I like it.
It's interesting to me and it seems to be such a common thing with wildly successful people the more I pay attention. From Seinfeld and Chappelle to Rick and Andre; none of them have found actual happiness or purpose in accomplishing their dreams and finding immense admiration and success. It shows there's so much more to life than what other's perceive as success and there's parts of people that no amount of success can ever fulfill. They also all talk about how hard fame and the expectations that come with it weigh on the psyche. Reminds me of Dave talking about Mariah Carey's breakdown and his own retreat from the limelight. Human brains just aren't made to handle all that attention.
