The hoodie itself just doesn't look like it warrants that much. It's just a screen printed design on a normal hoodie.
The hoodie is embroidered - the shirt is screen printed (says so in the item descriptions).
Also, items are made ethically with recycled, natural fibers in California. I understand s***ting on something as simple as a hoodie being $150 but this is the exact reason the clothing / fashion industry is such an exploitive pit on humanity.
Yes, if a child in an 3rd world country crafted the garment of cheaply made, synthetic materials then you could cop it at wal-mart at an every day low price of $2.99. Where the child make less than a penny for the work, the designer probably saw no credit because they were ripped off, and the earth suffers by more plastic and emissions being forced upon it.
He tells you exactly who he is partnering with to create these garments - everybody.world - and if you go browse their about us page then you get a better sense of who they are as a company. You do have to take some of their information at face value for sure (fair wages, etc) but this is honestly universes more than what the standard clothing company does.

Okay, then show me the cost of material and labor that went into it. Show me the profit margins. Ethics should entail transparency. Not just buzzwords to make you feel good.

This is simply not where we are as a society. How about you focus your efforts in transparency at step 1, not the final step. Companies like the one 3000 is partnering with is at least working to create a movement in this deeply rooted evil industry.
We have had decades of systems building to where we are now. A company who is grounded in ethical and sustainable practices is not going to ‘win’ by recreating the game - they will be snuffed out WAY before they have any meaningful and long lasting impact. They have to play the game then change it over time.
Be honest when answering this: do you think the average consumer would change their mind on a $150 hoodie if they were provided material, labor, and overhead costs that went into the product?
We need a jerry seinfeld picture with an ant rn
Don't give the real Jerry any ideas man or he might make a Bee Movie 2 with ant characters
