I honestly realized why I've had such a negative reaction to this album...it's not just the album's emptiness only.
It's the shameless bandwagon di**riders that were hyping this album up like weirdos hyping for the sake of hyping.
Like, get a life and a real personality, seriously
Imagine pretending to enjoy this album because it's "trendy/cool" to look like you enjoying it with the "crowd".

I'll be real and say that I'm hesitant on giving it a listen outside of maybe throwing something on while reading (if/whenever I get back to it), and it's like, why? What's the point?
I don't get it. I don't get the hype in the first place for a flute album and a part of it does seem forced that people are liking it. Which, hey I don't question people's sincerity nor is that my intention to, though idk.
Regardless, I feel like KTT is the last place to take a discussion on an album like this seriously one way or the other, so I'll let OP cook.

he put his heart and soul into outkast albums if his heart wasn't in a new one it wouldn't have been the same

Andre basically has weaponized the “I don’t owe you anything I’m a special snowflake individual” thing for years
He doesn’t owe me but you know who he does owe? Big Boi. Sleepy Brown. Big Gipp. The city of Atlanta
Andre being the star and main draw for the general public of not only Outkast but also the Dungeon Family as a whole, and refusing to take part in things like an Outkast day at an Atlanta braves game, or showing any kind of support to carry on the brand, he might as well be directly taking money and opportunities away from not just Big Boi, but guys like Big Gipp too, and diluting their legacy
How can you do a Super Bowl commercial with Zendaya but you can’t show up to be honored with your partner by your own f***ing city? Make it make sense
Was his heart in that “sea shells by the sea shore” commercial? Or is this about more than just where his heart is at? He just thinks he’s too good for hip hop and has no respect for anyone or anything besides his own ego
How after Mobb Deep lost prodigy, tribe lost phife, De La lost Dave, how are you STILL completely indifferent about being a part of one of the greatest rap groups of all time, an act that means so much to the south? How do you not wake up and realize what you’ve taken for granted? He’s a diva it’s nothing more
