Yup
Oh s*** it wasn’t updating for me but I clicked search for updates and it worked time to take a dip in the ocean
You have to order a wetsuit at nook stop and wait a day for the package before you can swim -_-
edit: you don’t have to lol they’re also in the cabinet at nook shop -__-
Caught like 7 scallops last night and pascal ain't show up
Did you meet him for the first time? Because after that he won’t show up again even if you find 7 scallops or 100 scallops
You have to wait until the next day and then he’ll show up

He didn't show up at all
But this morning he did after I caught my first scallop of the day, so maybe it was just a time thing
So I just bought some more land for my 10th resident but Tom said It’ll be the last time I’ll be able to buy land how do I get passed that and get more residents?

10 residents is unfortunately the maximum
hopefully they’ll add an update for this, because they’ve promised new updates throughout 2020-2022

Dam didn’t know that is rushing to buy new land and get new residents before anyone comes to campsite a bad thing? I kinda did that for most of my residents I only got one from the campsite
Also did not know there were levels to residents I thought they were all equal so the best one I have at my island is marina followed by a bunch of d list lazy residents

I mean it’s all subjective lol, that tier list is just about who’s the most popular

They arent levels they are personality traits

also translates to value though, if that guy is interested in trading villagers for nook tickets or bells
Also you gotta admit a lot of the most interesting and unique villagers are A-tier and S-tier

nah you did it the best way possible.
The game makes you do 1 from the campsite, for al the other others you should go on the mystery island trips
Especially because you can go on as many trips as you want before picking the person you find.
I usually go on like 10-20 trips before I find a villager I wanna invite
Also, if you didn’t already know, about every 3-4 weeks someone will walk up to you and ask if they should move. If you say yes you’ll be able to go on more trips to replace them.

What I’ve been doing is maybe once a week buy some land and 2 days later someone shows up. I did screw up spacing everyone around the island instead of just having one neighborhood. it’s gonna cost me a lot to move everyone.
what's the new dlc?
you can now swim in the ocean and dive to find sea creatures which is a new 3rd section of the critterpedia ( separate from bugs and fish )
also pascal the otter can visit you once a day when you find a scallop underwater and he gifts you pearls and new DIYs

getting s*** perfect is hard and expensive. I had to move all 10 houses to the beach which cost like 500,000 and took 2 weeks lmao and then I terraformed the island to look how I wanted and then moved the houses back which took another 500,000 and 2 weeks

They do have value but it stops people from being open to other villagers imo, I’ve been playing since the Gamecube version and a lot of my favs aren’t that high up tbh

Can someone tell me why this game is fun?
I'm debating if I should get it.
So its like an open world village sim where you collect stuff and fish and build up ur village? Like RDR2 but without the story?
I don't get it...I can see myself enjoying it for like a couple of days, but then get bored of it.
can someone explain why alot of people enjoy it? Lol
