bleach is extremely lucky it has an immaculate roster of baddies cause at this point it's really just a calculated waste of time. s*** just happens and it doesn't matter why or how. you can literally skip like 70% of the subtitles and it wouldn't effect your understanding of what's going on at all

i’m bad at remembering chapter numbers but maybe 70 or so chapters ago the mangaka decided to start setting up the end by making a shift to focus more on the narrative and it’s been downhill since. the characters are paper thin and thrown away the second they aren’t needed anymore, fight choreography and art has been hit or miss and despite being full of cliches and being extremely predictable the story moves at a glacial pace. it’s felt like the end had been coming for weeks and it just keeps going, there could be 5 chapters left or 25 the way s*** drags
