Started reading Slam Dunk (on chapter 20). Ik Akagi is japanese but he could pass as black (haircut , face etc) and the characters keep calling him a gorilla

the gorilla comments are based off his build (not alot of big bulky japanese fellas) and because hes super strong

fairly common thing said about people esp regarding strong people/people with power in their respective hobbies

I know I only said this in jest can't be using the hotep meme unironically

Reached chapter 40 , already really enjoying it so far .

Couple of thoughts :

• Shame prime Blake Griffin didn't do more acting, we missed out on him playing Kuwabara and Sakuragi
• Wonder when shonen manga went away from delinquent protagonists. Seems like they were fairly common in the 90s with Sakuragi, Yusuke , Onizuka etc
  Haven't read it but heard Rokudenashi Blues was pretty popular and influencial for a lot of those manga

Bleach ost is so goated and I know that term gets thrown around nowadays but bleach is actually ine of the best
