Honestly the 4th Great Ninja War would have been fine if executed differently. Kishimoto just lost his damn mind and killed the wrong folks and then randomly revived the wrong folks it was a s***show

Boruto also would be fine as a sequel if it just leaned in towards being closer to a slice-of-life with Ninja elements of the kids of the OG cast living peacefully (as most of the world's problems have been solved). The first parts of the Boruto anime are actually pretty good until they get into the manga arc and basically try to run Naruto back, which doesn't work because it's already been done... very sad.
