sorry i been gone as f*** bros. moved this week and no internet in my apt till march 6th. miss u all
just finished Monster that was a really good one. i love how scattered the overall narrative was, and how everything ends up having to do with the same 3-4 people
not sure how i feel about the ending yet, but i’m also not sure how else it could’ve ended lol.
I have a real soft spot for this series because i might be one of the few people who got exposed to DB with the og series and not Z. The lighthearted adventures were fun and all the tournaments later as well
looks great
might be being a little too liberal with the term sleeper though lol
well ok maybe not, my views on its popularity is prob influenced by the bubble of people im in
Kobayashi S2 started off weird as f***... definitely the weirdest episode so far WTF... hentai s***
I’m thinking sleeper hit
Tengoku Daimakyou is pretty good. Not always on point and not consistently great but I think that the Anime will do a good job of adapting the post apocalyptic world which is one of the best parts of the story in general.
I’m thinking sleeper hit
Another show for next season to add

I also finished the show recently, so I'll take this opportunity to give my opinion as well. Very well written. The dynamic between the protagonist and the antagonist is very well realized.
The ending also left me a bit confused initially, but the genius about the way it's written is that it forces you to reflect and connect the thematic points of the story. It is indeed a very satisfying conclusion.
The first time, Tenma saves Johan (as a child) simply because it is the right thing to do. Eventually the doctor becomes aware of Johan's nature, regrets his decision, and embarks on a mission to put a bullet in Johan.
After the final confrontation, in which Johan sums up his philosophy as "the only thing humans are equal in is death," Tenma chooses to save him again. The difference is that this time what Tenma does has a different potency. Tenma saves him again DESPITE everything he now knows. He gifts Johan the ultimate act of love, overturning Johan's philosophy. And in the end it is strongly implied that this action changes Johan for the better.

yeah I definitely really like the ending after thinking about it for a while. it was just abrupt and not where i’d envisioned the plot ending up
but as far as plot & writing goes, this is peak anime for sure. like that was so mf entertaining
