2012 Kameda would contribute animation to an Asuraās Wrath DLC Episode 11.5 produced by Studio 4C.
Kameda at 5:00 to 5:23
This is a pretty important moment as Kameda is working with the likes of giants being Production IG adjacent animation gods like: Hiroyuki Okiura, Shinya Ohira, Tetsuya Nishio, Yasunori Miyazawa and even 4C animator Hirokazu Kojima. Kenichi Kustuna who worked with Kameda on Milos also contributed. Kameda would again work with Nishio and Okiura on the insane film Evangelion 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo. Finally, Kameda would get to do some proper sakuga along Gainax stars, although being a Khara feature. The next couple of years would be another creative boom for Kameda. He would get to do some animation direction for Professor Layton vs Ace Attorney on DS in 2012, then participate in opening and effects animation on Susei No Gargantia in 2013. Heād also do brief cut on Kill La Kill. Kameda would have a slew of animation and AD work in 2014 particularly Space Dandy, Dragon Dentist and the Japan Animator Expo. Kamedaās Space Dandy work would mark the first time with him animating a Kanada Dragon and its of course breathtaking.

In 2015, like many Bones animators Kameda was brought on as a freelancer to work on Shingo Natsumeās One-Punch Man Season 1 at studio Madhouse. Kameda and Natsume have met before as Natsume was a unit director on Milos and a director on Space Dandy. Kameda would animate the second half of the under-dweller fight scene in Episode 1 where we move from a more concise āNorio schoolā Kenichi Fujisawa to an unknown animator to Kameda. Norifumi Kugai handles scenes afterwords.
Kameda at 3:54 to 4:36
So many flexes executed with so much swagger in his scene. Saitamaās jump at the start, the insane background animation, the kick swipe to the smeary Saitama build up to the punch. Also Kameda animating many subjects in frame essentially doing a one take is something he had not really done before, but his execution was still perfect. Kameda would be AD on Episode 3 and 9. 9 would stand out with Genos fighting the Deep Sea King. Kameda along with animator duo Gen Asano and Toya Oshima craft an insane sequence. Oshimaās background cut being a highlight.

Kameda would also contribute to the last episode of Season 1 with magnificent brush drawings of pure Boros fury.
After all of these incredible sequences could Kameda do anything wrong at this point? No! 2016 we get Mob Psycho 100 OOHHHHHH!!! Yoshimichi Kameda would have a huge role in this show. Not only would Kameda serve as key animator, opening animator, and animation director, but also character designer.
A lot of the expressiveness and rough line-work that is just so Kameda would be super apparent in the character sheets. While a lot of this roughness would be calmed down by another studio if series author ONE didnāt wish the anime to stick to the manga, Kameda and Bones in company excel in the roughness and perfectly capture the zany simplified look of ONEās artwork. Kameda would fill all the aforementioned roles for all 3 seasons from 2016 to 2022. He would become a supervising animation director on Season 3, and I suspect due to being the last season he wanted to make sure the highest quality could be delivered. katyatalks.tumblr.com/post/615729771378262016/mob-psycho-100-kameda-yoshimichis-character

Kameda leaves some very detailed notes of several characters in these Tumblr posts. And in this post he cites some of the influences he wanted for the show katyatalks.tumblr.com/post/629773898843570176/mob-psycho-100-interview-translation-character
Now in terms of Kanada-school action on Mob Psycho 100 there would be several episodes where his influence is very notable, mainly where heās AD. Kameda would let this role be filled out by several animators, though there wasnāt a restriction to limit them to just that style. The show in that case would look like a Trigger affair. Being an idiosyncratic show you get a ton of idiosyncratic animators, and Kanada lets them flourish even with his direction. Episode 8 of Season 1 is a great example of Kanada nourishing the brains of his key animators. Kosuke Kato and Yuuto Kaneko particularly showing off a Kameda like flair. Even though animators like Toshiyuki Sato and Yutaka Nakamura would likely be uncorrected, they still would follow the rough sketchy look needed for the episode.
Moving on to Season 2, Episode 11 Kameda would help helm an insane sequence; The Shimazaki Fight
With storyboards by Bones animator Itsuki Tscuchigami the prevailing scene would be an insane highlight of every animators strength. In fact this scene is excellent example of multiple animation styles converging into one. We have Nakaya Onsenās web-gen style animation having a sort of visual look that can only be achieved digitally at 0:27-1:24, then Takafumi Mitani whoās excellent execution of animating several subjects in shot canāt be understated and being more Nakamura oriented 1:45 to 2:06. Then again we get Kenichi Fujisawa and with him being a veteran Naruto animator is more focused on flow, and smoother animation on 1s 2:06-2:58. Then at the end we get Kosuke Kato whoās spatial awareness in his cut especially for being in the Kanada School fashion is insane 3:15 to 3:44.
Yoshimichi Kameda would work on Mob Psycho for six years, and in-between that would work on several shows. Doraemon: Nobitaās Treasure Island movie in 2018 would be another project Kameda would helm all roles from character designer, AD, key animation, and you get the picture. Here we get to see Kameda focus more on character acting, and it looks fantastic. Kameda actually did some animation for the Doraemon series back around 2012 but it never looked this good

2019 Kameda would make an insane appearance on the My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising film where he just canāt keep getting away with this. sakugabooru.com/post/show/127361
2021 would be a busy year for Kameda. Heād contribute animation to the eye catches on Sk8 the Infinity
He would work on a phenomenal sequence for Mushoku Tensei Jobless Reincarnation Episode 11 animating a snake fight along with many animators including: Ken Otsuka, Q Kawa, Shho, Shingo Yamashita, Soichiro Matsuda, and Naoya Takahashi
Kameda 0:29-0:35
Some brief key animation in the last Evangelion Rebuild film, and then providing emotional character acting on Ranking of Kings Episode 2
Yoshimichi Kamedaās most recent works was on Inu-Oh (2021 Venice or 2022 Official Release) where he served up a long dance scene, in a typical bonkers Yuasa fashion. On My Iseakai Life last year, Kameda actually put out a pretty controversial scene with him animating on 5s which many werenāt a fan of (many being the people on sakugabooru). sakugabooru.com/post/show/198166
Yoshimichi Kameda is a superstar. The best thing I can personally say about Kameda is he never feels complacent. A lot of the work and storyboards heās done has such a sense of freedom and imagination that heās practically basking in it. Heās unafraid and shares his freedoms and perspective with his Bones staff and abroad. Kameda couldāve been just any other Kanada-school animator from the start of his career, but after AIC he wasnāt. He put his foot down, said Iām built different and pushed the boundaries of what could otherwise have been a samey style of animation. Kameda is one of the best animators to come out of the Bones pipeline and one of the greatest talents the industry has seen in the last 15 years!
