Is Turn A Gundam a standalone or should I watch the og series first?

you could watch it by itself but i think its more enjoyable with prior knowledge

As the thread Gundam expert I'll take your advice and watch the og first, been meaning to do a true watch through anyway.

absolutely love the art direction of this show. it's honestly my favorite in all of gundam.

you could probably continue watching tbh, the characters, storyline, animation, etc are all top-notch. i only believe it's more enjoyable with prior knowledge because the show has a few callbacks/fanservice for those that watched UC gundams so some of those references might be lost on you.

BUT if you do decide to start from the beginning i could tell you the watch order
