Was planning to go KSG -> KSG Zeta -> KSG Double Zeta to start and add in some of the other sequels between each like stardust memory before KSG Zeta but I honestly have no idea how it's supposed to flow
I've underestimated the levels to this s***
yea it can be very intimidating if you dont know what you're doing at first
everything i'm about to list is in the UC timeline. this is essentially the main storyline of gundam so anything outside of this like witch from mercury, iron blooded orphans, 00, etc are from another timeline. ill give you the tldr watch order first so you don't get overwhelmed:
mobile suit gundam > mobile suit zeta gundam > double zeta > the ova's > char's counterattack > gundam hathaway > gundam unicorn > gundam F91 > turn a gundam
personally id recommend skipping double zeta and F91. double zeta's a waste of time and almost feels like a parody of zeta than a sequel. F91 has stellar animation but the story is all over the place due to it originally being an anime but turned into a movie mid-development.
sidenote: there's also victory gundam but i haven't seen this one yet so i wont comment on it
the ova's are:
-war in the pocket
-stardust memory
-08th ms team
-the origins
-gundam unicornbesides unicorn and the origins, you can watch these in any order you want. they take place in between the first three animes but you can treat them like bonus content. the origins takes place before the first anime but i think its more enjoyable with context after watching the first anime.
finally there's the movies:
-char's counterattack
-thunderbolt
-hathaway's flash
-doan cucuruz's islandnow this is where the timeline gets weird. char's counterattack was originally the end of the first three anime's until they made unicorn and hathaway's flash. unicorn supposedly takes place after char's counterattack but so does hathaway, hathaway is also a sequel to char's counterattack but honestly, just treat unicorn as its own thing and go with char counterattack > hathaway
.after all that time consuming, long, mindboggling journey, you can FINALLY watch turn a gundam.
you're free to watch any of standalone gundam after this like wing, g gundam, after war x, seed/seed destiny, etc

really liked the character designs and how colorful it is
