Miyata from Hajime no Ippo is the cool/quiet rival done perfectly. Most of the time they just come off too distant and unlikeable (like Sasuke).
skip and loafer? HARD

Demon Slayer is hard wtf are u talking about
Next spotlight Iām going to be covering god-tier animator Yoh Yoshinari

Watching Kaguya-sama: Love is War - The First Kiss That Never Ends
My thoughts:
First of all Iām not sure if this is Kaguya-samaās ending? I hope thereās more to it because it leaves a few questions unanswered. But I wouldnāt be too mad because it has a lot of closure for the characters.
I liked that they went the emotional and dramatic route and wished they doubled down on it more instead of coating it with comedy, but it was still amusing.
I definitely related to Shirogane much more, despite not being as competitive as him itās relatable to think youāre not good enough for someone and like you canāt show vulnerability. I didnāt like Kaguyaās pissy behavior but I realized this was intentional and I see her point about Shirogane basically acting the same and overly working hard to impress her.
It makes me feel a different way about āultra romanticāās ending. Iām still happy he was able to kiss her but it shouldāve been obvious they have a long way to go and it contrasting with the very real intimate moment they have in this special blows my mind. That being said if I was Shirogane I wouldāve tapped out after her being mean like that. But context is important. Either way great character development for both of them, with Kaguya it took a while to see where theyāre going but ultimately she matured in her own way. Finally she seems confident for real.
This special still leaves a few unanswered questions. Most interesting one is will Kaguya join Shirogane abroad, she needs to stand up to her father for that, so Iām interested to see that happen. I was pretty invested in the Ishigami arc last season so I guess the question is who will he end up with. Iāll confess I ship him with Maki. I at least hope these two develop a little even if they wonāt end up dating, but enemies to lovers is peak soā¦ and in a last note I want something good to happen to Hayasaka it seems like the last season was interested in developing her too.
This reminded me of the disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya a little, I think if it was more movie-like like Haruhi, and doubled down on the romance and emotion it couldāve been even better, but even as a 4-episode mini season this was very enjoyable and ties the plot so far together.
