this was also like years ago at this point but my brain was wired with the spoiler gene, the one where once you hear one for any show you will literally never forget it.

I actually been spoiled with a LOT of shows, and ultimately it didn't rlly affect my enjoyment that much. Like nah I aint letting that rob me of the experience.

And yeah personally Clannad was a one of a kind experience. I can't even put into words how that show made me feel.

speaking of sakuga I cannot believe how crazy Akihiro Ota got on One Piece and that he works at Toei of all places. Probably has the most modern sensibilities of anyone thats a part of the younger staff sakugabooru.com/post/show/227414\. I'm not sure that he studied animators like Ryuuichi Hashimoto from Studio Engi, but any time I watch his scenes I get the impression that he did. The fact he can keep everything deformed while actively articulating movement is impressive. Like a hybrid mix of Bones's Gosei Oda and modern Katsumi Ishizuka merged together

I don’t mind character deaths but the fact it did it simply to make every character miserable and then to further manipulate emotionally by having his kid die only to reverse it all felt so disingenuous and like the only goal was to force the audience to cry
