Y'all should find a new trashy romcom to ironically stan cause this rent a girlfriend gimmick getting played out ngl. The sociopath serial killer romcom airing rn could be a candidate but i doubt it'll have the staying power rent a girlfriend has
Which one is that?
If you didn't like it, fair enough. But to say that the characters were not developed is wild. And the ending made perfect sense imo.
I didnāt say the characters werenāt developed
I just said none of it was serious or believable because of how contrived the situations were and it all felt fake as a result especially with that asspull Uno reverse ending
Fruits Basket been living rent free in my head ever since I finished like 6 months ago
I wanna forget about it and watch it again
Tatami galaxy
Tried watching the first episode twice and couldnāt get through it

The dude from rent a gf is def a sociopath
close enough. well maybe 250 completions would be more accurate.
Basically I just watch 10 anime a year. I think thatās good progress for me
I actually been spoiled with a LOT of shows, and ultimately it didn't rlly affect my enjoyment that much. Like nah I aint letting that rob me of the experience.
And yeah personally Clannad was a one of a kind experience. I can't even put into words how that show made me feel.
Clannad's plot isn't very unpredictable or anything. You can know everything that happens and still feel the feels imo.
I donāt mind character deaths but the fact it did it simply to make every character miserable and then to further manipulate emotionally by having his kid die only to reverse it all felt so disingenuous and like the only goal was to force the audience to cry
Fair enough. I feel like the family was developed and especially Tomoya during After Story. Nagisa dying was interesting bc it led to Tomoya relating to his father and resolving his ongoing daddy issues throughout the anime. Now you could say it could've been solved in a less tragic way and that's fair. But the episode with Ushio was wonderful imo.
move to marvel section
New Vinland EP (18)
Man that Vinland episode was hard to watch and all kinds of f\*\*\*ed up, this really the start of Ketils villain arc. Arnheid potentially having lost another child is heartbreaking asf too

This episode left me feeling sick
"There's nothing wrong with being kind".. said Arnheid to Ketil. And now he almost beats her and the baby to death.
I can't with this show man
