redtruthNot really, I found S2 mediocre as well. The problems I have with the show is rooted in its identity so its never really going to change and at this point me continuing to watch is just sunken cost fallacy.
The main problem that I have is that around 70% of the dialogue in this anime is just characters inner monologuing exactly what is happening on the screen as if the viewers are completely re*ard*d (then again, I must be somewhat mentally delayed for continuing to watch this for so long) or the anime presenting a flashback for a character you knew for 1 episode. The anime just really loves to insult your intelligence.
Donât like any of the 3 guys from the main cast and Nekuzo isnât actually a real character, sheâs kinda like the equivalent of when game developers put a dog in a video game and then say s*** like âyou can pet the dogâ - doesnât provide anything to the story but I guess some people think its cute.
Pacing in this show is also terrible because as I explained above, it loves to explain things you have just seen for 3 minutes before moving on to the next thing it should explain to you
lol youâre right on the money about a lot of this. itâs a decent âturn your brain offâ Shonen show but not much other than some good moments outside of that

Every season built on to each other with all of the mystique and character development then here comes to timeskip and its a bunch of new niggas i dont care about and the writing 90% of the time is the characters tryna explain wtf is going on
Like i said MAPPA animation is clean thats the only reason i stuck with s4 but the writing is ass compared to before they left the island

darlifra actually could have been good if it just focused entirely on the character dynamics of having to co-pilot a mech with someone you are having changing emotions and feelings toward

My take is I never cared too much about AOTâs characters itâs more the story and world
But they definitely felt more human in the early seasons
The more the story gets complicated and contrived the less I relate to any characters, by this point I donât like anyone there

Season 3 part 2 prolly the best season of AOT in general, but the Marley arc will forever be my favorite s*** from the series. The declaration of war will remain one of the coldest scenes in anything.
