Nigga he's 14. tf you expect a 14 year old to do when put in constant life or death situations... deal with it like he the terminator or some s***? that nigga gonna b**** and moan and wish he was dead constantly. y'all so used to seeing anime portray 14 year olds as badasses y'all think it's weird if a 14 year old actually responds to traumatic s*** like a normal 14 year old.

the part that gets to me the most is the same niggas who hate on shinji are the same niggas who treat gurren lagann like it's a good representation of actual warfare. gurren lagann has giant rainbow explosions that take place in space. that s*** is not scientific and is the furthest thing from an accurate portrayal of warfare. all the characters are meant to be idealised versions of masculinity. none of that s*** is real. in an actual combat situation, most child soldiers are probably a lot closer to shinji (maladjusted and depressed) than the nigga from gurren lagann who fights in rainbow explosion battles that take place in space. niggas just don't like to face reality sometimes.
