I hate to see you grow into a better man, but acquiring this level of maturity at your big age is always commendable

We can only hope you reach the same level of maturity, or more than that even, seeing as I'm not as old as you are
Ridiculousness is back on the menu cuz Baki is back
The first episode legit felt like 5 min
i enjoy aot but i can't wait for it to be over so i never have to read discourse about it again
need this to be anime
Is there something wrong with me. Fullmetal Alchemist is usually at the top of most "best animes ever" lists.
I had some spare time last Tuesday and decided to binge 9 episodes while I was getting my hair braided.
I for the life of me can not get into this at all. I honestly think it's very disappointing, from the Writing, music, animation. There hasn't even been a single fight scene that is even worth talking about, none where I think it lasted more than 5 minutes.
The show can't get me to give a actual f about the characters either. Even the little girl and her dog, I was just watching that episode as distant as anyone can be.
The dialogue is awful. The writers don't build any suspense or anticipation whatsoever. There has been a couple of big moments early on and the writers just gloss over everything very matter of factly - (Like when the brothers realized there needs to be a human sacrifice for transfusion after reading the scientists studies).
That's a pretty big thing I would think, and it literally just came and went.
I have to say after coming from the Attack on Titan that I find is the polar opposite to what I'm seeing here, I'm very disappointed.
I know it has like what (60?) episodes. Is this worth continuing?
You’ll fit right in ITT just need an avy
FMA is just corny midget jokes
That s*** is not better than AOT in any way lmao
It’s better than it in some ways for me. The story is better/less forced. The cast of characters is much much better. Fights are better and clever. I agree the comedy is not great but that’s not the main point.

granted I haven't seen the very ending as I'm anime only but I think AOT has been a perfect story up to now. No filler, no corny jokes, no ass pulls to unnecessarily stretch out the narrative like FMA B constantly does.

I think AOT got plenty asspulls in the last two seasons. I liked it more in the beginning where it was a more grounded world.
I prefer characters to story that might be the reason why I chose FMA. For the same reason I’d like an anime like Soul Eater where the plot is bullshit, but it’s fun and you like the characters
We're in agreement with that, that whole manosphere cult around eren is weird at best and creepy at worst, but at least isayama pretty outwardly denounces that behavior so its not like he endorses gigachad eren.
But regardless its all jokes idc if yall hate aot, UNLESS its a one piece stan, then i got a problem
Well guess what
Gosso actually saved JJK. Really excited to see his future directing work.
Thoughts about the 3rd episode? Really enjoyed it
every shonen ive ever read or watched fundamentally misunderstands how to handle human relationships. Saying this as someone who has read most the major ones. relationships only exist as a means to an end or a way to push the leads. they have no organic existence in their own world and exist only to introduce drama. it is uncanny. I understand it is written for children and children are self-centered as f*** for the most part but it's f***ing jarring sometimes. Practically no nuance in conversation or legitimate human interaction during conversation. So many exposition dumps.
sayin this as someone who has kept up with OP for like 15 years lol
I like the relationships in Inuyasha but they are simplified. Idc if it’s a good example
Well, to me, it's more of the opposite. Because, granted, even in season 1, Eren already showed signs of a problematic character, but since the show framed him as the hero/MC, some audiences didn't pay much attention to said red flags. As the story progressed, viewers found themselves increasingly invested in Eren's journey, and as a consequence, some of them came to the f***ed-up conclusion that his selfish desire for mass destruction was justified.
Homelander, on the other hand, is immediately presented as a deeply problematic villain. Man has been a racist, sexist, rapist, sadist, misanthrope, etc. pretty much from the get-go.
So yeah, I'd argue it does not make more sense for mfs to relate to Homelander.
I feel like a lot of ppl like Eden because he went homicidal maniac not because they liked him before
