6 episodes in and Iâm loving it so far
Episode 1 was every iffy to me and felt very rushed. Like tryna get to the story as quick as possible but once episode 2 hit, I was like okay this might be good
Then twist after twist Iâm thinking where can they possibly take this
Very impressed now and with only 6 episodes in, I get why Iâve heard nothing but great things about Death Note
Canât wait to see where this story goes. And with only 37 episodes, it seems short and sweet
Also once I finished this, I will definitely watch the Netflix movie cus Iâve heard nothing but awful things about it lol
tried to rewatch this show for the first time since i was 13 years old (iâm 25 now) and it was so angsty and predictable i couldnât even finish it
Think he was sayin cliche shonen s***
Dont blame him if that's the case
Even outside of Shonen I think those anime are pretty unique and original
I mean look at all the issekai s*** they force down our throats, literally all the same.
Don't even get me started on the moe/cute girl genre.
Yes. But the rec isn't. If you like mystery and thriller you're gonna like those movies.
btw in the novel for NHK Sato was basically smoking crack instead of cigs which is why he was hallucinating
HOLY S***
I gotta read that lmao, I'm actually now struggling with quitting weed and cigarettes but these addictions have been beating my ass. I could use a relatable story to help me here.
dude said he doesnât like âcliche stuffâ then said he loves Death Note, Death Parade, and Steins Gate
How is Steins Gate cliche?
I need recommendations guys.
I don't like shounen, I don't like cliché stuff like jujutsu no kaisen or demon slayer.
I like story driven anime with good character development, I like mystery and thriller. I also like comedy as long as it's not the "cute girl fell on top of me and her b*** landed on my hand" type s***.
I like stuff like Death Note, Hinamatsuri, Death Parade, Welcome to the NHK, Steins;Gate and so on.
I like action battle anime too as long as it not cliché (examples: Cowboys bebop, The Great Pretender, Dorohedoro, etc).
Please and thank you âïž
EDIT: thanks a lot fam, i got enough recommendations for the rest of the year, yall can stop now lmao
Wallflower
Nana
Real for Nana. Best romdrama ever made
One of the craziest anime viewing experiences I've ever had tbh
Wallflower
Nana
Added to the list
I have enough to anime to check out for the rest of the year lol
thanks my friends
alright yeah dude just has terrible taste. he needs to stick to edgy Shonen adjacent shows like Death Note and Steins Gate i guess
Grow up my friend, not liking the same things as you does not equal bad taste.
If you wanna be more than just a troll maybe let's have a discussion? What did you like about it? I may change my mind.

Don't listen to him. Steins Gate is a goat show. I even got an official licensed bed cover

same here
Stand Alone Complex starts out pretty damn slow lol now i get where all the âthis is boring afâ comments came from i donât mind slow tho, iâm enjoying the hell out of it. itâs really building up this Laughing Man antagonist, canât wait to see where it goes
Maybe it takes some time to get good?
personally it was great for me from beginning to the end
def think you should give it another try down the line
Have any of you seen Revolutionary Girl Utena? I peeped the first couple episodes but I'm not sure how I feel about seeing a black woman being objectified and slapped around constantly
