I don't like shounen, I don't like cliché stuff like jujutsu no kaisen or demon slayer.
I like story driven anime with good character development, I like mystery and thriller. I also like comedy as long as it's not the "cute girl fell on top of me and her b*** landed on my hand" type s***.
I like stuff like Death Note, Hinamatsuri, Death Parade, Welcome to the NHK, Steins;Gate and so on.
I like action battle anime too as long as it not cliché (examples: Cowboys bebop, The Great Pretender, Dorohedoro, etc).

Yeah, I went into it expecting exactly that, but judging by your response it looks like it fails to deliver. Oh well. The opening slaps, at the very least.
You can enjoy it for the themes it deconstructs, but it's heavy in the dark aspects of it the entire time. I just think it's weird that most of the dark skinned characters are either evil or don't have a voice of their own. The main woman in this anime is constantly abused and viewed as a prize until near towards the end
At least in My Happy Marriage the abuse victim is taking baby steps to improve in just 12 episodes.
