wow, the first episode of overtake was actually really good

the character animation was surprisingly energetic and the cgi cars didn't look like complete s***. it's an anime original so who knows how it turns out but it had a pretty strong start

Frieren is everything I wanted from the anime

Was shocked to see Shinji Otsuka on the KA list for Frieren, he just finished How Do You Live and now I’m assuming is freelance. Hoping for a second wind of cuts coming from him on bigger films and shows although I’m not expecting the Production IG/ Madhouse run he had from 1999-2003, the man is 68 now

but who knows?

I dipped out at the first demon arc.

this season seems pretty strong so far

frieren is a fukushiP anime so thats self-explanatory

shangri-la frontier had a handful of decently animated scenes. could maybe fill out around one line on sakugabooru with that first episode.

ragna crimson had a strong visual identity. sometimes the colours got a little too garish for my tastes but at the same time those moments help contribute to the strong visual identity so i can overlook it for the most part

overtake had an absurd amount of 2D crowds which really impressed me, really helped breathe some life into the setting

L didnt even do any battle shounen s*** really

I respect it. Surprised though, cause most people have Maya/Claudine in their top two. I'd probably go Mahiru/Hikari in 3rd while Maya/Claudine and Karen/Hikaru changes spots in the top two depending on how I'm feeling that day.
