well its directed by the director of the worst Love Live season so i already dont have much hope
hanada as the writer is kinda hit or miss hes got some absurd bangers and some absurd pieces of s*** so its kinda a dice roll
I wish I could have lived my life without any missteps along the way, but that's not humanly possible. We fail, we stumble, we get lost, we make missteps... We just have to keep walking the path anyway, one step at a time.
I encourage any romcom/slice of life fan itt to put Fruits Basket in your plan to watch, please, you won't regret it.
It's been a while since I watched an anime that made me feel like it's the most important thing in the world. I got immersed in the characters, the world, the story. Starts off wholesome and light and as it goes into the lore it gets dramatic and develops the main characters very well. This last season Clannad-ed the whole thing and we get a very satisfying closure.
It has its flaws but it's exactly what I want from an anime, it's easily a 10/10 for me.

Akito got off way too easy
Akito got off way too easy
Haha def agree w that. I do have a few issues with the anime which I'll spoiler:
1- Akito not getting punishment. Her sad backstory doesn't excuse her from abusing and torturing the zodiacs. Though it checks out that Tohru accepts and changes her, it fits the story. So I didn't let it ruin the rest for me, it was just anticlimatic. Also I would've liked for Yuki and her to talk.
2- Shigure's mystery and motivation, teased throughout the entirety of the story, was a little lackluster when you find out he's kind of a pedo a\*\*\*\*\*\*. He's an interesting character but wish there was more to him.
3- Yuki and Machi, love Yuki's character arc and he's my favorite. I just don't love this ship even if it makes sense to have Yuki fall for a girl who's "like him".
4- There are a lot of couples by the end, most of them feel forced (all except Tohru-Kyo, Rin-Haru, Kisa-Hiro). Let the gay characters be gay.
5- I wanted more closure for Yuki and Kyo. In the first season Tohru wishes they would get along, so I would've liked the last few episodes to have them reconcile and build a connection. I'm actually more upset about this than the Akito thing.
potentially in
they got a banger out already

That's right, being abused doesn't excuse an abuser. There was a certain lack of accountability with her character.
I remember Shigure being somewhat manipulative, but I don't remember him being a predator or anything like that. When was that?
I remember the rooster guy was sus though. Bro was like 26 making moves on a 16 year old Arisa.

Shigure - not exactly but he basically started preying on Akito when he was a teen and she was a little girl. Age diff aside, their relationship is toxic.
Speaking of Arisa I also think she should've been gay. and with someone around her age please.

Honestly might do a rewatch next year bc there's stuff I no longer remember.
Catching up on 16 bit Sensation and these last few episodes have been so unhinged
(Spoilers up to EP 11)
American Saber? My VNs and gacha games being westernised? Rampant use of AI in video games? Its so over for this timeline. I knew there were going to be some ramifications to time travel when they introduced it but this is insane. Not sure how they are going to wrap this up in 2 episodes but i'm not expecting much rn
