Make sure you watch the anime in your living room when you have family/friends around.

My fav music video from 2023, AD and CD by Ligton who out did herself here
Kind of cheating using a Eve video, but that’s what he does
Honorable mention to Fujita and Takase’s video
Best visualizers are from the Fate series, Fate/Grand Order memorial by Hiromatsu Shuu
and of course Nakaya Onsen’s Fate/Samurai Remnant opening title
Look I wrote a thing: ktt2.com/hot-take-there-is-no-such-thing-as-starter-anime-32564382
just finished reading the 194 chapters that the original dragon ball anime covers, it started off okay but it really picked up in the piccolo saga.
i knew a bit about dragon ball but i've never read or watched anything before starting it 5 days ago. the story has a bunch of cliche's and tropes but i also understand that dragon ball is highly influential so at the time these things weren't viewed in the same way. still though the story felt pretty predictable the majority of the time. the introduction of tao pai pai was the first time where it felt like the story was starting to take a turn. the entire piccolo saga was heat though. that felt much more like the dragon ball that i've been exposed to and was looking for.
my two problems were the character development and the sexualization of bulma. i know, "women in shonen", but it just felt like every time we moved past it she would be reintroduced back into the story just to be groped or have a joke made at her expense. it sucks cause i really enjoyed her early on and when she used for jokes with goku is mostly harmless cause goku literally didn't know any better.
as far as character development goes it felt like no one ever really grew besides goku and tien. every character was more or less the exact same from when they were introduced to chapter 194. it makes it really hard to care if certain characters win fights or not cause i have no reason to be attached to them.
i do plan on watching kai at some point but idk when i'll get to that
Enjoyed mushoku tensei second season but honestly book 7 could've been skipped now that I've seen it lol school arc was funny tho.
im bout to be real annoying when dungeon meshi anime drops just letting yall know beforehand

"i do plan on watching kai" :vlosereave:
Frieren about to enter a tournament arc
It might be over for us
Time to start watching perhaps
You guys watching Solo Leveling this season? never read it
I might want to read it instead because there's rumored censoring of important subject matter/plot in the anime.
