there's a huge anti-japanese sentiment that's pretty apparent in the manhwa (LN readers say even that's tame compared to the LN)

as far as the anime, there's going to be 3 dubs (1 kr, 2 jp)
one of the jp dubs is going to be "politically censored" and will alter names of characters and locations that may be offensive to japan, the biggest one being changing the main character's name

quick example: japan and korea have a long history of who the rightful owner of jeju island is, so during the jeju island raid arc they will likely change the name to okinawa or some s\*\*\*

The author of delicious dungeon seems to be a big CRPG fan she also made portraits for the original Baldurs Gate 2 gang and for Pathfinder Kingmaker which I adore

Not sure if people liked the adaptation since no anime would ever capture the manga artstyle but looking back this was kinda the style chainsaw Man shouldve gotten. JJK, Vinland Saga and AOT were fine with the more nuanced tones imo
