so f\*\*\*ing good. yeah it fell apart when virm was introduced, the final transformation was weird and the obvious eva comparisons but i don't care, those first 19 episodes were magic. i loved all the characters and the music. the mecha fight scenes were whatever but everything surrounding them was fantastic. few shows have ever made me care this much for the characters, even the ones that didn't get a whole lot of development and i can stomach everything that was fumbled for that reason
