sakamoto days looking pretty meh unfortunately. lots of stills with action lines. hopefully it's just a poor trailer though

Binged Flowers of Evil. What a ride. Insane story, really liked the animation though. Was the slow burn to madness. But the weak part is that the story truly begins right where the anime ends, which is unfortunate. But, the anime does a great job with atmosphere. Those VA all did stellar too.

Kasuga actually changing his life and becoming a person who doesn’t run away was lovely too se. The sequence of him busting into Tokiwa’s spot, declaring his love infront of her BF was a boss move. The last 2 chaps I was a lil thrown off by, though. So I thought that everyone pretty much received their happy ending, but then I read that it was all just Kasuga dreaming this end? The saddest moment was reading that last chap, realizing Nakamura has some real serious mental issues and also that she’s probably heavily medicated which is why she acted like that on the beach. I interpret the manga of being one displaying toxic relationships in every facet. Also, one of my favorite tropes: The everlasting fear of being only normal. So many profound moments, but the one that sticks out as an ode to the story, “There Is No Other Side”

the second half of his life after moving away... meeting aya, falling in love, growing as a person, apologizing to his parents... everything was so cathartic especially after how emotionally taxing the first half was. s\*\*\* was so beautiful man!!!

he imagined it yeah, woke up from his dream and that inspiration basically lit a fire under his ass to start writing his book like he saw in his dream. nakamura was one of the characters i feel like we needed more closure on but oshimi is notorious for botching endings. after we see what her psychosis looks like in the final chapter u can come to a couple conclusions about why she was behaving the way she was after they met again.
