EinfinetI’ve never read a manga before but I’m considering starting w Akira, Ghost in the Shell, or Nausicaa since they aren’t too long and I’ve seen the movies for each. Are there any other shorter mangas that people think would be a good introduction? Im not really interested in anything going past 15 volumes (and even that seems pretty long 🤔)

Ahh I appreciate ur doubling down on the other two recs- I’ve seen Punpun praised the most across various boards/friends and that one isn’t too long so I’ll see if they have a couple issues / early volume at my local store to flip through

I don't think a mainstream show isn't really a thing no more since the seasonals release schedule became the standard. Every new show can enjoy exposure from it thus encouraging viewers to pick up more shows
