hayabusathe entire series we're led to believe that eren was curious about life outside the walls and is fueled to join the survey corps after his mother gets eaten by a titan only to find out that eren after gaining ymir's power he was able to predetermine every event thats happened since the beginning of the series and even sacrificed his own mother to save bertolt who betrays them later on in the series. he also genocides 80% of the other island for "his friends sake" armin asks him why did he do all that and no bs eren tells him he doesnt even know why he did it. and then armin THANKS him for it

aglowAight, I don't agree with those points but fair enough I guess. It's still crazy to me that someone would give it a 1/5.
The way i rate is that i use 1/5 as the baseline rating. Either a show separates itself from the pack or it gets slapped with a 1/5. The majority of anime isnt really that special: thats why i got like 300 1/5s.

there were some trash timeline differences in the anime but the shigaraki backstory was nice
one thing ive noticed with every season of mha is how they end in the most hype moment and instead of picking up where they left off they somehow switch back to the ''academia'' part of the plot
At least earlier seasons had great abimations, the last one wasnt as good and ive found out it was because they prioritized the movies so yeah im out ill watch it regardless but i want to experience the manga

agreed. The muscle dude fight and the overhaul arc in general had great animation.

if i was anime only i'd have given up on it after that but as a manga reader there's certain events i look forward to

I knew I was gonna like the character designs since I liked how the characters looked in Golden Time.
Edit: well that doesn’t make much sense since diff people did the character designs for both shows lol but either way I like both

Chainsaw man nowhere near AoT. The plot is basic af, the characters are 1 dimensional and die, and story builds up to be just a set up for a part 2 for right now. So really you could just start with the ending of part 1, and be okay not knowing wtf happened beforehand
