flizzyI read the manga knowing what happens, made me almost cry all over again so idk I feel like it still hits
that's different tho
going from manga to anime you have a lot of things to expect
a more accurate comparison would be to reread the same manga again
it is an amazing movie tho but it's just that deeply emotional anime dont hit as hard when rewatched

I think good musical selection actually makes a huge difference in key moments in anime. There are a lot of moments that I see that I already know the outcome of, but a good musical selection tears me up all over again.
I agree it’s a big part of it
Just like spirited away when that piano song plays it makes me really emotional

it's aight tbh. if you seen Train to Busan that's a better zombie project to watch. it's even mentioned in the show. theirs an interesting twist to this show when it comes to zombies though

oh i get it, then in that case you did have that surprise factor
but still, I dont think the scene with the X marks on the faces of his classmates falling can be even slightly as good rewatching it
that's why I mostly tend to rewatch action stuff
