I love the manga so much that seeing how much the anime deviated from it made it disgusting to me to say the least

and it's not just the typical ''iTs NoT LiKe ThE ManGa BRuh'' bullshit alot of manga readers pull

I'd be okay with it if it used the elements of the manga to make a good alternative but the problem with it is it tried to align itself with the manga while missing what made the manga good therefore ending up with a soulless result

TG is psychological horror in its core but all the anime did was showcase kaneki's physical torture and made it its selling point in season 1, then the other seasons were just about the ghoul fights and a bunch of s*** that just ''looked cool''

first season was average to okay, the rest tho? total s***, for me at least.

Adaptations not only provide sound and animation but also provide a different perspective into the source material

same reason why great directors adapt books. Can they not find good writers or are they lazy? no, they just want to give their own (and maybe better) spin on an already existing and widely accepted story.

clannad style is easy to get used to and the story is pretty good

when I brought up clannad's artstyle a while ago I was talking about how light novel adaptations in general lack creative designs, not just clannad.
