Finished Ping Pong The Animation. The Manga is in my Top10 and so i had high expectations going into this.
They were mostly fulfilled. I liked the whole Kazama backstory that got added into the Anime besides the cousin romance which didn't really have any point and was just a weird decision.
The animation sometimes felt choppy (except the last two episodes) and as i thought the artstyle didn't translate that well into animation. Also the matches felt more dynamic in og version. There were some panels that i really wanted to see animated which were skipped unfortunately.
Still, i love the story so much and as it is the animated version of it, i enjoyed it a lot. The shows theme of talent vs effort is still something that came through in the Anime really well.

But yeah, the issues i have keep it from being a straight 10 and im going to go with a 8.5-9/10 probably.

Just finished it and here's my thoughts on it. (no major spoilers)

my only problem with it is that we didnt get a proper closure with things such as the suicide law, Itsuki and the aftermath of a lot of events

BUT as far as seizaki and magase go the ending was nice and not what I expected

soo...is it worth watching? yes. If you like thriller/mystery shows it's worth your time even if a couple episodes feel anti-climatic
