wheatleyHosoda up there for top anime (film) directors to me, if I had to rank the movies:
#1 Girl Who Leapt Through Time (opus tier imho, early Hosoda has more menacing vibe before he cozy up to more light hearted themes)
#2 Wolf Children (a deserving critics darling)
#3 Mirai (like a santa's gift to his fans, has a bit of everything from his past works, this was lovely yet also shows Hosoda still work on improving his craft)
#4 Boy and the Beast (almost decent to me)
#5 Summer Wars (not hitting to me at all)

Apr 23, 2020·editedIf The God of Highschool has One Punch man quality animation or at least 1 particular fight in the season with that quality of animation, it's gonna be the new heat. I think it'll be a success either way though if the fight scenes are animated decently.

been binging Yu Yu Hakusho lately, almost through the Dark Tournament arc. i love the whole show but it’s not scratching my emo itch right now lmao.
like i want fights, but i also want feels, whereas Yu Yu is mostly fights and comedy up to this point. any suggestions??

yeah i guess, really just want a bigger dose of emotion. like the levity of the show doesn’t bother me at all, i just wish it got a lil darker and sadder to even it out. it dips it’s toes but keeps things pretty light mostly.
