Take your time to digest each movie especially Spirited Away

I’ve only watched The Boy and The Beast. I’m just finishing it for the second time and this got me tearing up NGL

I'm on EP2 rn and the director wanting to change a whole scene cause of the Alpine character and even creating a whole character backstory outta nowhere is really f***ing with me man holy f***

EDIT: The director was right, the 2nd cut was way better but holy s*** at the amount of work and stress that caused lmfao, I can tell he really gives a s*** about the anime tho

@Psychodrama i think I might have to check out some other Mamoru Hosoda movies. The Boy and The Beast got me smiling ear to ear right now.

Hosoda up there for top anime (film) directors to me, if I had to rank the movies:

#1 Girl Who Leapt Through Time (opus tier imho, early Hosoda has more menacing vibe before he cozy up to more light hearted themes)

#2 Wolf Children (a deserving critics darling)

#3 Mirai (like a santa's gift to his fans, has a bit of everything from his past works, this was lovely yet also shows Hosoda still work on improving his craft)

#4 Boy and the Beast (almost decent to me)

#5 Summer Wars (not hitting to me at all)

Watching Wolf Children right now. The Boy and The Beast is amazing to me

Is crunchyroll worth it. I don’t want to keep downloading shows.

Does crunchyroll have everything? Or is there a better service ?

a ton of the characters and events in the show are based off of real life people and events so it makes some of the s*** they deal with even better

i remember seeing somewhere that the PA works president said the server event in episode 3 happened to them when they were working on a different show

lmfao smh I actually hate to hear that, I was hoping the events in that EP were slightly over exaggerated cause its really ridiculous man

makes me respect every single individual working on anime even more tho, its really blood, sweat tears like every single day

This s*** sounds like an anime OP.
