uhmmmm im not into action anime but in general anything thats pretty/well drawn and has a nice story and good character interaction
itd be nice if they were young adults, not high schoolers preferably
examples of things that i liked in case u ask are oregairu after the rain elfen lied and castlevania
Watch shouwa genroku rakugo shinju and march comes in like a lion if you havent already. Amazing well written stories with some of the best written characters and gorgeous animation. If youre into reading manga i also suggest reading shonan junai gumi and gto, everything urasawa (monster has an anime adaptation so if you havent watched it already this is also a top tier show)
You can't go wrong either way, enjoy
Thanks. Tried to start yesterday but my dl didn't include subs and couldn't find any so gonna have to try again tonight. This torrent included 2 movies, do I start them after the show (unlike FWWM for example)?

The first movie is a recap with like 15-20 minutes of new footage at the end, the second movie changes a lot but is still a reworking. But the ending of the second movie is insane.
Id reccomend if you really want more Gurren after watching the series, check the 15-20 minutes of new s*** on the first movie then watch all of the second.
So i finished nisemonogatari and it was
Bake and Kizu were great, but in this I feel like they completely substituted any story that was going on for some weird sexual s\*\*\*. Obviously the other two had some stuff like that with the story but it was like the only thing going on in these episodes was Araragi just being a weirdo. The toothbrush scene almost got me to quit the show right there, hope it gets back to a story next set of episodes

Monogatari is all sexual: it's been that way since Bake. A lot of information about the relationship shared between two characters is given to us through how the sexuality is framed. I don't think Nise did anything particularly different from the rest of the series.

I get its always been there in the series but compared to the first two I've watched it just seems like they ramped it up and had less info about the problem that was going on. Like the two antagonists in the series had an episode or two where they were actually dealt with. The aesthetic is still the same and that's dope just less was going on with the issues themselves
Either way its on to neko

Nisemonogatari imo is the worst out of all the seasons easily. Tootbbrush scene also was really weird but that arc and the sexualization of that character has meaning. The whole point of that character is exploring her feminine side, as she's one of the most masculine characters in the anime. Of course whether the execution was well done or not is subjective, i personally thought the toothbrush scene was taking it too far but i can see what it was going for. Luckily for you what's to come is so much better so keep going
I finished the og higurashi a few days ago and now I'm watching s2
I'm 1 episode deep and its a huge mindfuck already
Reading Last Game
Last Game was pretty good. Something refreshing since it’s college setting
yoooo anybody here watch blood of zeus? it looks like it's made by the same people who made castlevania so I might binge later

Cross Ange - 10/10
Genius at being stupid. It's a master class in trashy, campy anime. I'm convinced the staff just spit balled a bunch of ideas during the initial planning, added in everything that sounded cool, and waited till the very end to worry about how to fill in the blanks.
"Where should the show take place?"
"Lesbian prison."
"OK, what happens there?"
"The MC gets into a giant robot and fights dragons from another dimension."
"This sounds awesome, let's throw in some lesbian s***scenes while we're at it."
Funnest s*** I've seen in my life. They abandoned all pretense of making a serious show and just went all in on the insanity.
Chainsaw man gets better with each chapter
why my boy Denji turned down fine ass Himeno tho! rookie mistake

if you're interested in a more elaborate/well written version of each arc you should try out the manga adaptations
i only started reading them recently myself but the quality of the storytelling is a lot closer with the source material

If I read em while watching the anime I'll just end up confused
so I decided to check out the manga after finishing the anime (for a clear perspective)
btw are the ovas a must watch?
I'm watching kai at the moment
whoever wrote higurashi is a master of foreshadowing
even comedic moments reflect on the tragedy of the characters

the answer and question arcs are the only ones that are apart of the original vn, which are the first 2 seasons. iirc rei is additional content that was released after but its still canon
everything after isn't. kira is straight up ecchi

Jujutsu Kaisen is going strong this szn and Burn the Witch (only 3 ep) is brand new work from the author of Bleach.
I’ll check out Jujutsu. I think I read the Burn The Witch one shot, it’s in the same universe as Bleach right?

Yes
The more I think about it the more I realize how goated One Piece and Hunter x Hunter are
These are really anime I enjoyed thoroughly and I still talk about all the time with friends
With a lot of other anime, even if they’re great I don’t remember the plot or characters as well
