Monogatari second season way too good starting the ending episodes today
Mayoi Hachikuji ending
Ok. second season of monogatari is top tier
Nedeko Sengoku
its worth noting that the direction of the series changed after first season (bake, kizu, nise, neko kuro, etc). originally everything was just him entertaining himself with the silly dialogue exchanges but he decided to make the story more serious starting with the second season arcs.
like a lot of the character arcs is just him utilizing retroactive foreshadowing from the first season content rather than being planned out from the jump
I'm not TOO familiar with either of their works because the only thing I've watched between the two is Chungking Express.
When I think of Chungking Express the main things that comes to mind is a moody, melancholic piece that just wants to show a snippet of the character's lives with no real end goal. So that's what I'm basing this rec off.
House of Five Leaves for sure would be one I'm confident in reccing. Mushishi is another one that I'm a little less confident about but I'll throw it out there anyways.
Thanks man I'll check it out
Can anybody recommend an anime that's similar to Wong Kar Wai or Hou Hsiao-hsien in mood and theme? Like a slice of life that isn't overly story based and is more revolved around young adults instead of childhood/teenage years
Tatami galaxy
any have a manga app for iOS?

Edit: this Hamefura right but im not too sure now, or the kid who love to tease anime

Gonna get the biggest problem out of the way i find the characters insanely boring. Shiro is ur average shonen protag, aina is a bland love interest and the rest of the cast is forgettable. There was a lot of good ideas but i feel like a lot of them fell flat. Some of the fights and the animations especially in the 2nd half are pretty good but it's kinda sad to me that the gundams with newtypes feels more real then this. Honestly not sure where the high praise for this one comes from. War in the pocket is way better

Psycho pass didnβt hit me, Trigun didnβt hit me, Vinland Saga I havenβt seen. I finished Bebop personally. IβVe been sour with the state of anime as of late, and been feeling like thereβs little innovation or attempts to really stand out or do your own thing. Could be just me.
Ever thought that maybe anime/manga aint your cup of tea and you f***ing up a lot of time you can spend on things you actually enjoy?

I enjoy anime and used to a lot, but I haven't found an anime that just floors me in a long time. It's usually the writing that annoys me and pergaps more intrigued by mangas than anime.
I also don't like a lot of s*** so this isn't helping
probably gonna drop the dragon quest anime for the time being, every week when i see an episode im like "that was pretty dope" but then i immediately forget about it until next weekend when im like "oh yeah another DQ episode dropped"
besides im 60 episodes into LOGH and that s*** is goated
so i gotta put more energy on finishing that
Dang Talentless Nana is a pretty fun show. If you guys decide to watch it you should just go into it blind
