I appreciate how Hori and Miyamura are both blunt, emotional people who just express their feelings and make an effort

I can easily see situations in this show that can be played out for multiple episodes but solved in one, just because they say what they mean and settle misunderstandings

Like Hori telling pinky she can't have Miyamura. This could've easily been a stupid frustrating love triangle in another anime but she just went right out and said it.

Themes like Miyamura wondering if he's liked, develop the character not the story, and the characters is what's important in a slice of life.

Little moments like the hands scene mean a lot.

And that's just one episode.

Man, the new AOT episode was so good. Legit felt my stomach drop during the Eren/Jaw scene.

Reiner prob in my top 5 male characters list by now. He has by far the most interesting internal conflicts in AoT in my opinion.

Outside of Princess Mononoke & Spirited Away, the rest I’ve seen are all pretty mid. My Neighbor Totoro, Howls moving castle, Nausicaa, Ponyo, and castle in the sky are the only other ones I’ve seen. I don’t think they’re bad, but I don’t consider them the standard by any means. They’re average movies.

Worst of the bunch for me was Howls Moving Castle. That movie felt so uneventful. Felt like the I was waiting for something to happen and before I knew it, it was over.
