I think the Uzaki thing started because a few people criticized her design, and that's all the right-wingers need to jump on the bandwagon. As far as I can tell, there's a sizable portion of anime fans that are fairly hateful toward anything "progressive" or "SJW." Championing Uzaki to "piss off SJWs" was probably the main motivation I guess.

i have heard about / seen clips for takagi and it seems more watchable so im not totally against the premise of nagatoro, its just the way it presents it at least in the trailer that is just very unappealing to me

demon slayer main cast at least in s1 has gotta be one of the worst ive seen in any shonen or possibly anime in general, one of the only times i can think of where id rather have the cast not interact with each other at all to save my ears

if its any consolation though the show does get slightly better

Takagi is also easier to consume because it's in shorts (like 10 min episodes) as opposed to the usual 20min.

Not sure about Nagatoro, I haven't started it yet. It's not necessarily that Nagatoro is being picked up by racists, just that anime tends to attract weird hyper right-wing types, and Nagatoro is controversial because artists will do stuff like trying "whiten" Nagatoro (even though she's not even black she's a tanned Japanese girl.. but, whatever, people are weirdos)

I didn't fw Nagatoro when I read it back then, it's bullying straight up nothing like the premise of Takagi-san where its only kids pranking one another. Also it felt kinky at times, just very awkward and not what im down for in a casual mood
