Started Black Clover both the manga and anime to compare.. the latter is disapointing me a lot, the animation looks like a slideshow a lot and the drawing looks off compared to the actual heat that is the manga, i can understand the complaints and i hope it gets better cause i might as well just read it

just finished househusband. super easy watch + pretty funny. Also It’s just a bunch of 2min episodes so don’t expect anything crazy.

Black Clover, while poorly written from a story standpoint (IMO), has amazing characters. Hope you enjoy it! It's got a large cast that is mostly enjoyable, even though the story is not great.

The anime dramatically improves later on

Peeped Bishounen Tanteidan. It is a pretty show. I just hope there's an interesting overarching plot to keep me hooked in, I really found it hard to care about these guys looking some mf star. Thought it was cool to see they're all good dudes.

Other than that, I watched all the Tuesday releases (MARS RED, Seijo no Maryoku wa Bannou Desu, and JORAN: THE PRINCESS OF SNOW AND BLOOD).

Pretty good stuff.

MARS RED and Joran: The Princess of Snow And Blood are both pretty serious shows. Joran takes place post Meiji restoration (so still pretty old, using katana, bows, arrows, ect) with some mythic aspects to it, the battle scenes were beautiful.

Seijo no Maryoku wa Bannou Desu was actually pretty good. First Isekai I've enjoyed in awhile. I've got like 25 shows on my watch list I'm gonna try and keep up with all of them this season since it's COVID time

this s*** took forever to get this good but i’m not mad at it. i think my favorite thing about the show is how well it has developed such a large main cast. the story ranges from bad-fine mostly, but the characters and the fights are super entertaining.

when i put it like that, it actually reminds me of Marvel movies in those aspects

It keeps going up based on the s*** i just read . Way slower payoff then most shows but man when it gets good it gets good

the whole hero-villains-underdog dynamic is straight up western fiction

I'm 50-50 with the cast...some I love too much some make me cringe

for me it was good since season 1 but yeah it built on a solid foundation and only got better

during the overhaul arc you mentioned the series was trending on twitter but my favorite parts in the anime were when overhaul flexed on the league of villains and the all-might ''you're next'' moment

horikoshi's art on the manga is jaw-dropping too

Just finished Berserks golden age

Finished JJK and Demon Slayer back to back

JJK was clearly better to me and it was mostly due to the incredibly annoying characters and constant screaming/shouting in Demon Slayer. I’ll peep Demon Slayer movie and season 2 tho.

Started MHA again last night at season 4 episode 11 and it wasn’t really hitting to me. I’m gonna try and give it another shot tonight and see if I can finish the season at least

i totally feel you! i started this show probably 6 months ago, and it took me most of that time to make it through the first 2 seasons but the third season was pretty decent and i’ve been watching pretty consistently since.

the pacing of the first half of the fourth season is oddly slow, so i can’t imagine trying to watch it as it airs benefits highly from being binge-able. trucking through the rest of it is probably a good idea, you might enjoy it more in hindsight
