Yeah if you don't give into payola or play nice with the old guard then you have no radio support. And if you don't suck up to niggas like Rosenberg then Spotify or Apple won't playlist you and recently they dropped the charade and introduced a new feature for artists to give up a chunk of royalties for more playlist spots. That's why Please Please Please and other 2024 hits show up in County, Gospel, Kpop and everywhere because Spotify is basically paying themselves to get more people to listen to certain songs

Drake don't seem like the type to get on his knees for them so if this is his strategy going forward we're going to be well fed

I honestly feel like Drake doesn’t like the studio album format, he’s always at his best with tapes, loosies, packs, colllab projects etc

I think albums stifle his creativity and he probably thinks they are antiquated and he wouldn’t be wrong to think that honestly. Streaming reduced albums to a formality
