Why do you niggas keep saying “nobody’s doing/saying X” posters here are absolutely saying that the Iranian people support their regime and that the protestors are just random reactionary nobodies. Also somebody that doesn’t live in their country of origin may not be as in tune as people who are there, but they still have connections to family and friends there to have an actual outlook on what the ground situation is. Like I don’t live in my home country but I can clearly see most niggas aren’t happy with the government, and I have never condescended to telling the socialists here whether communism was liked more in their specific home countries or not, it’s only in countries neither of us are from do I have these debates about its popularity

The guy who made the thread is from Iran. Whether you support the regime or not he has plenty right to say whatever he wants for his own country. I’ll be honest, I don’t agree with putting the shahs son in power, but I’m not gonna tell a nigga that “oh only imperialists puppets are protesting, also you don’t actually care about your people.” Also people 100% implied and even outright stated Iranians support the current regime, check page 5 of this thread, and check the thread about the Soleimani strike. They were saying he was a beloved war hero and that’s why everyone came to his funeral and they all supported the state

The thread is meant to illicit a certain response, it isn't really meant to allow to form a nuanced view on the matter, why do you think that imperialism post was bombarded with tweets that had nothing to do with its subject matter?

The problem is that the Ayatollah isn’t responsible for military decisions as OP claims. The revolutionary guards is the only military unit in Iran that doesn’t need supreme orders to mobilise. And that’s the central issue here. The dynamics are different in Iran and you cannot measure them from a Western perspective. All the people that OP is posting on this thread to validate what’s already known, that Iran must go through a political upheaval to sort itself out, are rich/monarchist Iranians who want to reintroduce capitalism to a country so torn by poverty because of Euro-Anglo history of harassment. These people are so deluded that they still reminisce about an empire that some 50 “camel riders” destroyed some 1400 years ago.
Yes, the Islamic republic must go, but the monarchists and the Iranians capitalists must go with them too. When Iran was on the verge of becoming a democratic socialist country ready to develop for the poor, the rich and the monarchists as well as the mullahs of Qum conspired together with the Europeans and the Americans to take the only democratically-elected president of modern Iran.

No one is giving Iran’s government a pass in anything. The people who are saying this are only saying it to spite US support hence threads like “fuck the us” and you know how I know OP doesn’t care? Multiple times people have mentioned that they’re only vehemently against the US because of its continuous war crimes and he has yet to reply to any of that.
Even if you have family in another country you truly will not be able to get a reasoned answer because your family will have a bias.

If you’re iranian too, I’m not gonna argue with you on the situation in the ground/what you think the people want. But I will say that others in this thread are not very receptive to Iran’s protests, they’ve outright stated that the majority support the theocracy

Yes they are. You’re being blinded because you often agree with them so you want to give them the benefit of the doubt, but reread this thread from an anti Iranian government, and you’ll find that a few people have made posts implying or outright stating that the protesters are just reactionaries, indirectly supporting the Iranian government. Him not responding to charges against US war crimes is because he probably doesn’t believe the US has been as damaging to Iran as Iran’s own government
Also it’s true that he’s biased due to his family and what not, but there are online forums, groups based on social media in various counties, that can give you an extra insight into the views of the people in the country
