    this really ain’t that complicated

imagine you’re OP’s equally-stressed and tired coworkers, and imagine now having to work extra shifts to cover for his flake ass because you can’t quit since you have dependents to feed

it is that deep, you’re choosing to ignore the consequences on other people

Dollar Tree is like the cesspit of working in retail.

Like, it's literally the lowest you can go in terms of working retail.

I've read about the owner of the Dollar Store company, dude is a scumbag.

He has been quoted saying stuff like 'I rely on poor and stupid people because only poor and stupid people would come do their shopping here'

He makes work conditions terrible on purpose because he doesn't give a f***. I've heard that Dollar Stores are always just barely staffed, mgmt doesn't get overtime despite being over worked, and will often have to work for free. Pretty sure there's never PTO, and you'll never get to work full time because they hire a bunch of people to do small shifts.

Like if you got a long career at the Dollar Store, you aren't doing it right.

Yup, the stores are usually poorly maintained because the entire staff is busy sorting the huge shipments of product, sometimes there's so much, they just have it stacked up on carts in the middle of the isles.

Everything food related at the dollar store doesn't taste right, either. Like even the Brand Name food and candy.

I remember there was a dollar store right next to my job that I'd go to pretty often, and there was this dingy nerdy looking kid working there who looked pretty normal until you saw his nails. S***s were like freakishly long and dirty asl

Lowkey the manager was a cougar. She looked kinda trailer trash and always had a b**** face, but her old ass could def get it

why did you invent an enitrely different situation from op’s

it’s a p**** move to take a job, work there a week before you decide “it’s too depressing” and “no one cares about me here” and quit because “i couldn’t handle another day there”

it’s f***ing work, it’s not supposed to be fun. you signed up for it, so don’t make it other people’s problem when you decide to leave.

You sound a like a real slave. He should endure something that makes him unhappy when doesn’t have to for the sake of a million probably billion dollar business and some random ass people? get tf outta here. It’s a reason everyone here is disagreeing with you.

He’s not under a NBA contract or something Nigga calm down

First step is realizing you’re meant for greater brother. Find a better job, if you have a whip, Uber, DoorDash anything atleast then you’re working on your own time

There was a basic Gina valentine looking girl at my dollar store

Place always looks sus af and the customers are prolly another type of mess. I worked retail with white moms and I’m sure they just as bad as the crackheads

    Yup.

Guess what too, Dollar Tree CEO is worth billions.

    Absolutely rich as all f***.

And that same company advocates to keep poor communities poor, because that's their business model. They have their hand in politics. They got their lobbyists.

If you know what's good for you, you will never shop there again.

And yes, there's NOTHING healthy there. Copious amounts of candy for cheap af, junk food smh.
