Yeah wtf was up with that s*** lol
It was weird because I had literally listened to the ACTUAL phone convo (it’s on YouTube) and there was no need to embellish the way they did…the og phone call is telling as is

That’s actually the first thing I did when I heard it too.. I’m like why are they doing this, just play the original call it’s just as jarring.
I watched a few interviews with her too, you can tell she felt so bad inside because of everything but there was nothing else she could have done.
I can’t imagine someone not taking me serious as my neighbor is cooking a bunch of people next door. Like what the actual f***.. talk about lifelong trauma.

She always will feel like she could've done more
Loved this. Only part that was weird to me was when they showed the “real phone conversation” between the cop and the woman which was obviously a voice over with tons of added dialogue lol
Hol up you think that was fake?
Hol up you think that was fake?
No it wasn’t fake, but the phone call they used in the show wasn’t the actual phone call that took place.
The OG phone call is already very telling of the police’s inaction and the scariness of the situation so it’s strange that they felt the need to embellish on that
been watching this and can't help but feel like there's something morally wrong about the series as a whole.
humanizing Dahmer alone feels very wrong to me and the overall idea of creating a piece of media built to entertain rather than simply inform when real people lost their lives because of this sicko just does not sit well with me.

I absolutely feel a bit wrong watching this.
No amount of shoehorned finger wagging at Dahmer can change that
Been hearing about this a lot on social media
It's good but it's also f***ed up.
Because I feel that it humanizes him in a way
This show is INSANELY bad. I suggest no one watch it. Evan Peters is one of the worst actors I’ve laid my eyes on
yeah it’s kinda mid really. but also idk if it’s because I know so much about Dahmer already or not. but yeah i wasn’t too interested throughout. a couple of stand out episodes though.
evan peters did solid though I think. his accent was on f***ing point lmao. I also think I just can’t get passed Evan Peters tho, like I just know it’s him if that make sense. can’t see past the actor into dahmer
Bout to peep since my social media feeds won’t stfu about it
Very disturbing and accurate selection of jefferey dahmer. This was hard to watch, really good stuff here
ill pretend I learned about it from ktt so nobody would check me for hopping on twitter trends
ai generated show
It's weird that they kind of have this sympathetic feeling towards him and then they cut to exactly why you should not
That’s what i heard and it’s jarring to hear cause of the victims families who are literally still around
I think this is a bit different because it really does focus on the victims. The neighbor has a pivotal role in this show, plus the end of the last episode is literally all about the victims. I guess I understand why people are saying it “humanizes” Dahmer but how the f*** do you even humanize a cannibalistic pedophile? I don’t agree that it does but like I said, I see why people are saying it.
It’s no different than true crime dramatization shows before it, why are people suddenly now offended? Netflix has entire Chris Watts and Chad and Lori-Dayell documentaries, why not be outraged about those? At least keep it consistent.

HavenT watched this but I HATE when media tries to humanize every single evil person/character just for the sake of keeping audiences hooked. It’s so f***ing cheap. Like evil is EVIL so why are you holding back and trying to make me like this person? It works sometimes but we’re talking about f***ing Jeffery dahmer. Don’t try to make this dude some morally grey serial killer

In the third episode right before he kills the hitchhiker the hitchhiker calls him a freak and a f@ggot and I can't help but think that does nothing but paint a real human who was really taken advantage of and murdered by this guy as a bully and a homophobe. It's disrespectful.

So you’d rather them just not explain what made him the way he is?
I don’t understand the argument and I feel like people are just complaining like they do with everything else. Niggas have a problem with literally EVERYTHING these days lol

I feel like they shouldn't be making a television series on him.

They can make a television show on whatever they want to.
They make TV shows about serial killers all of the time, why all of a sudden are you so hard pressed about this?
I don’t understand people

because you can doesn't mean you should. I don't think any other similar portrayal of any other individual in film or tv is particularly right either.
documentaries are one thing. dramatizations that could be interpreted as another fictional murder mystery tv series are another.
