nah man i trained at a well known gym and that s*** did not fly, some dudes obviously went harder then others but no one was ever trying to ko the other person
Amateur boxing’s different then. They obviously wouldn’t match you with a fkn grizzly bear your first time round - but when you eventually spar with them, they won’t stop them from going as hard or as easy as they want.
hit and don't get hit
focus on your form and footwork
definitely great cardio, remember to breathe through your nose and out of your mouth

Remember the sacrifices of all your fallen comrades & let their dreams fuel your desire to win.
Biggest tip? Find out if you can get punched in your face without tearing up. And I’m dead f***ing serious.
I’ve seen my friends (who quit), be scared the moment the gong ringed, all because they couldn’t wrap their head around “holy s***, the other guy wants to punch me too”.
I used to eat my friends hits but they’re not boxers so I guess I’ll find out
Man, I can’t believe I used to box. Just the idea of me trying to sock people in the ring with a bunch of coaches and uncles cheering from the crowd in some f***in school gym in the middle of Indiana
I liked the traveling part the most cause I would play Pokémon
How is it? I’ve never boxed in my life besides impromptu fights with my friends.
Is it hard to get into as a beginner? Can I still go pro at 22?

Yes, you can still go pro. there are people that go pro at 30. That said, pro vs amateur is a different ball game. So would encourage you to go hard with amateur fighting first. Top amateurs are ridiculous too.
