So I got to the last season before I gave up. I think it's important to say I went from The Sopranos (Greatest show ever imo) straight to Breaking Bad so my expectations were somewhat high based on how good Sopranos was.
But honestly, does anything seriously happen throughout it? I feel like I'm in a fever dream every episode where the same thing keeps occurring.
When Walt said his famous "I'm the one who knocks" line, it just doesn't really resonate the way it should given the context. He's still under the strings of Gus and hasn't really even done anything worthy of saying something like that. Also on the topic of Gus, he's still this mysterious character we know little about, along with Mike. With one season left I just don't feel they utilised these character fully. Unless they cram it all in on the final season? (Which isn't necessarily a good thing).
There's little apprehension when something actually does happen as you know ultimately that Walt is going to get out of it.
I'd say Jesse and Saul were probably the best part of the show.
I guess my biggest problem is that throughout the whole thing, nothing really happens. Looking back, I honestly can't remember a big, major event that happened. With one season left to watch, that's not something I was expecting with 'one of the best shows ever'. And when things did rarely happen it was all over too fast.
Honestly, Ozark > BB.
I know I'm probably on my own with this, but just wondering if any other people think the same regarding BB being overrated?
it’s one of those super slow, artsy shots, d*** and crime talk stuff that film bros ejaculate over

That's exactly the sort stuff I love tbh. But BB just isn't even that. It just feels like a bunch of reoccurring themes throughout. They push onto you this idea Walt is this mastermind, but he's still being strung around by Gus.
For me it's going to be a case of what could have been with it. Because it did have a huge amount of potential and If people feel they reached the potential that this show could offer then I'm in complete disagreement.

Honestly the show isn’t really that artsy looking. Not a slow show either. Have you actually watched it?

How did you get to this conclusion lmao, a few wide shots & POV shots are artsy now?
Aight
how u give up on the last season
I was losing interest towards the end season 4. Then had no motivation to carry it on as I just feel it's no where near as good as people made it out to be.
It's not even In the same stratosphere as The Sopranos which people try to claim it to be.
But in all seriousness, for people who liked it, what was appealing?
Everything

This. I was confused by that post

The bar is low
I watched BB when it was running back when I was still in High School and don't plan on rewatching (don't believe in rewatching shows when there's so many I haven't seen and probably won't get to watch) so maybe it was just my simple young mind, but I remember that s*** being amazing.
BB hype is just right and at times actually not enough because it also brought us BCS, a great tier show with even better cast
