S***s been on my mind recently I’ve been hearing muhfuckas cough way more in the past month than I have in the past 4 years. Also everyone seems to be talking about Covid more in casual conversations. Some rando on the street told me a Covid dad joke for no reason. Is the collective consciousness of the universe slowly gearing back into that mode? Let me know what yall think. Nephew out 🦫

At my hospital in NYC we’ve been having ED surges on and off for a few months now. Definitely a lot of respiratory but not necessarily Covid. A lot more influenza A, COPD exacerbations, pneumonia, and TB rule out. Still see covid patients but doesn’t seem like the main culprit.
Also seen a pretty decent uptick in norovirus

Syphilis and other STDs are quickly becoming antibiotic resistant and are on the rise. The US is at a record number of cases and people aren’t getting tested
People are gonna be walking around with stage 2 phillis cause they don’t know until it’s too late

The lockdown during the pandemic felt like a strategic timeout. I don't miss the deaths and the doom news coverage, but I do miss how calm everything was at the time.
