I use to be fascinated by Harry Potter and Goosebumps covers when I was a kid. One day in the library, I stumbled across an interesting set of books with some weird ass cover art with the title .

I found it interesting and it piqued my curiosity, I quickly became hooked to the story and read through the whole series whenever I was able to check out the next one in the series. I pretty much dig the story and the weirdness involved in it, mysticism, s*** hitting the fan moments, and just pure wtfness of it.

I reread it about 3-4 years ago cause there was a spin of series about it and I've still enjoyed it the second time.

eventually I was chasing that next story and he had a second series about demons thats just even weirder and even more horror themed than the previous series. Honestly I've never came across someone who read this authors work before and imo this was a classic for me while growing up.

Edit: Yeah the movie sucked ass and didn't do it any justice, I bet this would be a good ass tv series if HBO picked it up

Was obsessed with cirque du freak when I was like 12 and read all of them

Very fond memories but I’m worried if I reread them I’ll think they were just immature and poorly written

Demonata book one is insane, especially considering they had it available at my middle school library.

In my 20s lmao. I was on the original ktt as a teen though.
I recently got back into reading. Currently reading 100 Years of Solitude, so I'm still into fiction. Darren Shan is a great writer, I think and hope it should hold up for me lol.

Read most of these when I was 10-11 and put some of my friends on but I remember my friend’s mom kind of scolding mine and telling her she had to better watch over what I read 🫠 I tried to get back into these books this year (I’m 21) but was kind of bored by them now. Like they’re not descriptive enough or move way too quick for me to get immersed. I read Darren Shan’s book “The Thin Executioner” a couple years ago and still liked it a ton at my age.
