its over
or maybe were old and we just dont get it anymore
long as they have those tribe and little brother albums on streaming and long as akai solo is active im fine on that lyrical stuff
realistically rap doesnt pay bills, one of the biggest modern 'rap stars' (ice spice) is yet to have any kind of album out and gets paid through media appearances and remixes
Real for admitting, but don't do that to hip hop. Don't be a freaky ass nigga man, rap is ever growing, I'm waiting on Keem, rest of TDE and of course the king of Rap, Mr Kendrick Lamar to drop
Drake vs Kendrick was 10 years in the making it really does feel like the finale of their era
I just hope this inspires more actual rappers. Yeat is ok at times, and I like Carti but all his clones are awful for the most part.
Almighty So 2 out now ok
I just might be growing out this site y’all are shameful
Give your throats a rest. God f***ing damn
Chase a bag. Put on new artists. Just stop it bro. It’s over.
Dopamine levels are f***ed
That is sad please go outside like I’m being serious this site used to have some power but you guys are f***ing leeches. The d*** sucking is starting to give schizophrenic
Yo....ya'll really do only listen to 10 rappers lol.
But, on a serious note, the beef was an iconic moment but a beef shouldn't dictate the quality of hip hop as a whole like I said before.
We need more quality albums at the end of the day. We already had Schoolboy drop a top tier album this year. Some would say We Don't Trust You was quality too.
But rap shouldn't be dependent on beef and diss tracks to get people to check out the music. And I think labels are going to exploit that to try to sell records sadly.
C6 is still allegedly coming out. And Kendrick might drop too.
Q album was kinda boring ngl
0 replay value for me
the big 3 will live on forever but holy s*** where are the KIDS at
debut stars don’t give a flying F*** about barring out or crafting generation-defining albums. as time goes on it becomes more and more obvious, that breed died alongside pop smoke, juice, and X
at this point we’re gonna need a cultural reset on the level of rakim before things get back on track in the mainstream
(I was thinking the youth would feel invigorated by kendrick’s lyricism but nah it looks like they just moved on ngl. niggas still hyped for Ian and nettspend. it might be over brehs)
The music doesn't matter as much anymore, sadly
No Ian strays pls tho
Yeah...in terms of newer stars, I think that window is gone.
Lil Baby has the biggest rap album of this decade and it's so generic that it makes CLB sound like Take Care lol.
Carti is influential and makes interesting albums but doesn't really rap.
Youngboy is too repetitive and is the textbook definition of quantity over quality.
Yeat gets gassed up to extreme levels on this site but he's still a diet Carti in my eyes. I don't care.
Rod Wave is more of a crooner than a rapper.
Ice Spice is more of a meme than a rapper.
Jack Harlow is a diet Drake with far less bars or classics.
Granted, these rappers have their audiences for sure but, outside of Doja Cat and Keem, I don't seem them having true cross generational appeal.
Overall, though, I care more album great albums than anything else so it is what it is. And the indie scene has been keeping me fed.
Baby didn't make WLR
This one never gets old

Somebody woke up at the wrong side of the bed lol
You do realize it’s always been this way on KTT? People loved this historical moment and are talking in a hyperbolic sense about it now that it’s over
It’s not that deep
we had like a month+ straight of chaos after the winter slump that ended with drake maybe being exposed as a lying s***trafficker permanently affecting his music
10 rappers
Mentions wayne and kendrick at the end
Make it make sense
Nice nitpick.
I only brought them up as a quick example because I know how much of an audience they both have on here.

It's funny because, as recent as 2 years ago, the Yeat glazers on here would've called you an oldhead or told you to go back to the Coli for saying the same thing you're saying now.
In fact, @BIGGWAVE made a similar thread saying what you're saying 2 years ago and niggas were trying to convince him otherwise.
Funny how that works but KTT is getting older though so I think that plays a role. All that melodic and adlib heavy s*** kinda grows out of you once you get closer to 30(or past 30 for some users).
???
You're literally lying...
!https://youtu.be/IEueorPNpT0?si=EbkMyr6T5ixQn8pXhow people can call cole boring, and praise drake, is baffling to me. his vocals sound dead like he cant be f***ed recording a verse. at least cole sounds interested
and yes his subject matter is even more boring than cole
hes just a way more boring rapper than cole is
so in summary, boring flow, boring cadence, boring delivery, boring bars, boring subject matter
but cole is the boring one right?
