Eugenics was never taken seriously (in terms of generality) lol it was always a fringe science that many scientist spoke against even during its initial creation and during the few times it became popular throughout history with racists and cults - and yes, just because schools in germany used it as a teaching (where eugenics originates) & some places in usa/uk that doesn't mean the majority of science agreed with it - again, most actually spoke and denounced it but people can ignore scientists and still do what they want at the end of the day (sounds familiar)

There are many "sciences" that are actively argued, debated, debunked and proven - climate change was actually argued against from the public and some scientists for decades until recently (late 2000s early 2010s) when we have actual physical real consequences now

but in reality it isnt necessarily going to cause positive outcomes. for all we know it could make things worse because people think theyre doing enough to support black people when theyre not actually doing anything that directly fixes any situations. it could make people more complacent or even later on backfire when people who are ignorant to black culture or black people develop racist ideas due to their ignorance

its unfortunately not so linear as having this sign = not racist. there could be 100s of reasons why someone would have this sign, they could be trying to trick people into thinking theyre not racist or it could be a reflection of guilt
