honestly anything in the 115-125 bpm range is the perfect sweet spot to mix s***. It's a good range for most house, reggaeton, dancehall (well not the slow kind of course), afrobeat, baile funk type s***, and just upbeat joints. I make a lot of personal remixes that go in this range for that reason tbh.
Yea 100%
I try and do a little bit at 85 and sometimes around 110 but 120-125 is definitely my sweet spot
the funnest s*** you can do if you like mixing soul songs into joints you'd never expect to hear them in, is to find popular hip hop songs that are atonal/have no music (e.g. Grindin, Boss Ass B****, A Milli) and mix some jazzy s*** into it.
nothin like djing at a neosoul type of function and seeing niggas react when you mix s*** like Time's A Wastin with Beez In The Trap
Damn I need that
Sometimes I gotta do a big key swing so that sounds ideal for it
i dont dj but saw you put a peggy gou track in the op - these 2 remixes are fire af:

Personally I didn’t get into it at all until I bought a board
Cost me like $250 ish which is steep but I’ve spent hours doing it
